Life Aboard a Battlecruiser. Empty
PostSubject: Life Aboard a Battlecruiser.   Life Aboard a Battlecruiser. EmptySat Jul 14, 2012 6:18 am

-he looked at the display clock hanging overhead. 4:45 in the morning. He had been here awhile. He laid back in the tan leather chair, putting his arms on the armrest, massaging his temples. Checking up on 3D displays all evening seemed to take it out of him, especially when he felt he had a job to do. He reached to his left, where a tall glass of ice water sat. He took a drink, and closed his eyes for a moment. It was mostly dark aboard the engineering section in the Metal Shear III, but that was to save power. Some auxiliary lights were on so that he would not damage his eyes looking at something bright in complete darkness. The ship was docked in Outpost 34, the standard space outpost for this battlecruiser.-

-Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, his name obtained from a character from a science-fiction television show from long ago, was a fairly new recruit aboard the Metal Shear III, the first two being lost in battle. Standing at about 6'1 and light brown hair, there was nothing unusual looking about the Lt. Cmdr. besides a scar running along the left side of his face. The scar was the only real break in the tan, yet white, skin that made up his face. His eyes, oddly being blue in color, were usually hidden beneath special glasses that he used to better read the 3D HUD displays and keep the ships status at his fingertips, so to speak.-

-Under the command of the recently promoted Admiral Eroku, La Forge had been assigned to the Metal Shear III (and it's predecessors) due to his record from StarWay Academy, the only Academy close to earth. During his time in the academy, he showed a knack for engineering and memorizing and improving schematics. This love for engineering could, at times, be his undoing, for he always believed an improvement could be made, even if it was not feasible. This feeling was mostly "shocked" out of his system when, by some stroke of luck, he was put on one the tougher battlecruisers, the Metal Shear. This was something as a feat, since only the more knowledgeable were placed on a battlecruiser, the reason being that the higher ups didn't want their battlecruisers to fail in a time of war. Not wanting to fail the people who got him this far, his impulsiveness was quieted quite a bit. Now he only makes out plans for improvements, and then runs it by his commanding officers to see if it is a good idea or if it would work.-

-Aboard the Metal Shear III, Geordi was often found on the Main Bridge or the Engineering section when the Cruiser was docked in an outpost. If he could not sleep, or had extra energy, he would come aboard the ship in its docking station, and spend quiet hours into the morning thinking of new ideas to improve the ship. This usually involved having several 3D displays up, including outlines of the ship and virtual blueprints. Being a man of preparation, he learned from his previous defeats well, studying the reported battle logs and schematics of the previous Metal Shears before they were destroyed.-

With a bit of the backstory complete... let's get back to the topic at hand, eh?

"Turn the full ship schematic..."-he ran his hand across his forehead for a moment-".....45 degrees to the left, and 90 degrees downward....zoom in on section 4A." he spoke, a bit of exhaustion in his voice.

"At once." responded a computerized, and slightly female, voice. The display was turned, piece by piece, as the Lt. Cmdr. ordered. "If I may make a suggestion though, Geordi. You've been here for 2 hours, and you have refilled your cup 3 times. Rest is advised." the voice continued. The voice that was speaking was C.A.T.A., a personal AI that Geordi had programmed into the Main Computer A.I. He had made C.A.T.A while in the academy as someone to basically watch and advise him, a friend in that regard, since he rarely had time for many friends while he studied. When he came aboard the Metal Shear, he asked that he would be able to install the A.I. as it would be beneficial for his work efficiency. Luckily for him, this permission was granted, and C.A.T.A was soon "awakened" on the Metal Shear.

"I'm well aware of that, Cat, but I know there's an improvement that could be done here."

"Are you sure you will find it staring at the same displays you have been staring at for hours? You need rest like any human. If it bothers you that much, leave the improvement finding up to me while you rest."

"Ah, what do you know...?"

"Don't make me answer that. In the past two weeks, you have setup emergency protocol for the ships crew and vital information, improved energy flow, and increased enemy ship scanning capabilities by a large quantity. I believe you have done plenty for now. The Admiral has stated this aloud, too."

-Geordi did not have anything in response, and instead minimized one display, bringing up another-

(I will leave it off here for someone else to come in. If noone responds in a few days, then I'll just continue on my own. ^.^)

The alarm beside the sleeping Ensign Kade Erebos began to beep, at first to quietly to awake him. The alarm began increasing with volume at each interval of beeps. Kade's hand began to move, it slapped where the on button was, although it didn't turn off the annoying beeps. Kade sat up with a grunt, he turned off the alarm and got out of bed. Kadedid his short daily work out routine. Generalizing everything it was 200 pushups, 100 situps, 50 chin ups and 2 laps around the ship, and took a quick sonic shower.

He walked amongst the ship in deep thought, several ideas of how to increase the effectiveness of his fighter. Some days he could swear he was either destined to be an engineer or was at least one in his past life. It was far to late to become one now though. Maybe Geordi La Forge, the ships engineer could help him out a bit. He new how to do basic repairs already but the math and programming to go along with redesigning whole sub systems and fighter craft structures was far beyond his grasp without some form of aid. The one thing Kade looked forward for was redesigning the missile bays on the wing tips to hold more weapons, or hold less, but be able to hold cruiser type missiles like sabertooths or a hellfire missiles.

He went back to his quarters and pulled up a small 3D schematic of his ship, trying to familiarize himself on every system, subsystem, and if need be every bolt that holds it together. "Ok so the missile launch sequence needs to activate the missile sheath sub routine to release the payload from the... ahh screw it, this is impossible!" He closed the schematic and opened up a book on the screen. The book was about how ombite, nontrium, veldite, and mercoxium react with each other for the use of weapons or propulsion purposes. He was working on a way to increase the explosive power and blast radius on a scorpion missile, and also how to add a guidance system internally. That way the fighter wouldn't have to stay locked on the same target until it hit.

-The rather short man, about 5'9, would be sitting in a chair just under his head height but just above his shoulders, an odd imperfection that the men that remade the Metal Shear put in. He would look over his command chair for a moment and sigh, shaking his head before looking up at a display of what seemed to be a large star map. Moving his hands about the display, he would zoom in on the cruisers position, docked inside Outpost 34, one of the more protected outposts in the farther reaches of space.

Glancing over this information for only a moment he would zoom the display back out to view the galaxy the outpost was in, and look for any blinks or notices of possible missions: Nothing. The man shaking his head again would move his chair back a bit and swival around to a console, taking only a moment to link a com to the Fleet Admiral, his one and only boss. As the com would crackle into life, a screen would appear in front of him, with the Fleet Admiral on it, he was a rather veteran soldier, with a large scar going across his right eye, having a 5-o'clock shadow, and dark peircing eyes.-

"This is Admiral Eroku sir, permission to ask a question?"

FA: "Permission granted, Admiral."

"Me and my crew have been sitting here for days now, is there any possible chance of a mission coming by?"

FA: "Negative Admiral, its been mighty quiet around the outpost for quite a while now."

-The man would quickly nod- "Understood sir, Admiral Eroku cutting out."

-As the man would cut the com, he would shake his head and lean back in his chair, swivaling around until he faced a much larger display of the entire cruiser statistics. Looking over it for a few moments, all the man could do was grin at the display, which has changed since a few days ago.-

"That boy just keeps changing my ship, even if it's been blown up two times in a damn row... I knew picking him was a good idea"

-He would swival back to the star map and gaze upon it.- being Admiral had its feats when it came to picking a crew, you had access to damn near everything when it came to recruiting... Hell, you could even bring up confidential information including social security numbers and what not. However, he didn't really care for that, what he did care for, though, was how the man or woman fought in combat. Anyone can fly a ship or repair a broken armor plate no problem, it was combat, however, that proved many men useless.

Many men would cower, or abandon ship if they would even take a rocket to their shield, there are the select few, however, that would take that rocket and send it back at the enemy. The men who had the guts to call someone else sir, yet take their own motives and work as a team, this is what he liked to see in a crew mate. The men who would follow him into hell and back, and then serve up a bucket of, well, you get the point.

-Leaning back into his chair, he would take out a small bottle of virgin grape wine and pour it into a small glass-
"I suppose if we don't have a mission to do, I guess ill let the crew do as they please..."
-Taking a small sip of the drink, he would continue to gaze upon the star map, watching it for any news of sorts.-

Life Aboard a Battlecruiser. Empty
PostSubject: Re: Life Aboard a Battlecruiser.   Life Aboard a Battlecruiser. EmptyFri Aug 03, 2012 1:50 am

-he pressed a few buttons on the panel, and zoomed in on the 3 ship schemata he was viewing simultaneously. By this point in the evening, he felt fairly tired, but not enough to go to bed. He was about to grab a drink of water when he felt a slight rumble. It faded after a few seconds, so he thought nothing of it. It was probably some louder-than-usual repairs going on in the docking bay. He grabbed his cup, and began to drink from it, contemplating his next move-

-he had just put down his cup, and he felt an ominous silence. It was a very unusual. Almost like an eye before the storm. Before he could even ask C.A.T.A what was going on, the entire engineering section (actually the entire ship, but my character does not know that) shook with an extremely violent intensity. Geordi was flung from his chair and slammed into a wall, and saw his panel monitor explode into a bright fury of sparks and electricity before being knocked unconscious for a few minutes-

-Every single communication link and CPU fried and every panel in the Engineering section either short-circuited or exploded. The section was damaged (although not as bad as it could have been), and emergency bulkheads put in place on the ship locked off access to the other parts of the ship. The entire ship is now sealed off from the other sections by heavy emergency bulkheads, and all known forms of communcation are heavily distorted to the point of uselessness if they themselves have not been shut down completely. The door that opens to space in the shuttle bay has jammed, and the shuttles themselves have been bombarded by falling debris. Engines and weapon systems are offline, and the status of systems such as backup generators and life support are unknown, The main AI for the ship is barely intact, but it is unknown which sections still have access to it. In one fell swoop, by a force currently unknown, the Metal Shear III has become a floating rock.-

(This is just setting it up. Feel free to go about this RP as you wish, of course)

-Taking a small sip of his wine, a small blip would only appear once on the star map, catching his eye, he would set his cup down and lean in closer, almost as if this blip was a new form of life, but after a few moments the blip would disappear and he would shrug, leaning back in his chair and picking up the glass again-

"Hmm... Must've been an asteroid..."

-But then, another, much smaller blip appeared on the screen, and started moving increadibly fast right towards their location, however he did not notice this happening. When the blip hit the center of the map, an eary sound came into the bridge, along with a slight rumble of the entire part of his ship-

"What the fu-"

-Before he could even finish his sentance, a detonating sound would be heard outside the bridge, indicating that something didn't happen to the ship... but rather...
The station...
All of a sudden, the entire ship jetted sideways, flinging him out of his chair and towards one of the large control panels, breaking it a bit as power would shut down for only a moment. As a sort of electrical shock would go through the bridge, the lights would flicker and then turn off in the bridge, the rest of the ships status still unknown. As he would try to get back up, he would slam his fist on a button on the panel he almost practically destroyed by the force, and manual bulkheads would force seal every door in the ship-

"That... Should seal off any air leaks..."

-As he would attempt his best to stand, he would try to comm link the rest of the ship-

"Engineer, pilots... Please respond"

-Only to have the apathetic sound of static return back to him, even the ships intercom system wasn't working... He would stumble himself over to the main window of the bridge and look out of it, his eyes going wide he would back up into his own chair, the outpost, or, rather, THEIR outpost, was long gone away from his sight, and inside the window, showed a rebel outpost, and it was obvious they were caught off guard, because their outpost was still firing away, while ours had yet to notice what was going on. He would grumble and know that they HAD to get moving, or else they would be sitting ducks to other cruisers, he would slam a big red button on his control panel, and in every room, a little panel would open, and out of them came out red signs, saying "BATTLE STATIONS." Noting this, everyone in the outpost laughed at him when we wanted to put those in, but look at whos getting shot at now?

**Lol, that last part is honestly me just trolling, you can accept it or know what to do, I just thought it'd be funny Very Happy**

PostSubject: Re: Life Aboard a Battlecruiser.   Life Aboard a Battlecruiser. EmptyFri Aug 03, 2012 11:48 pm

OOC:((Well apparently my last post wasn't hated, but I still think it was so I am not putting it back up, or having anything else relate to it. A.K.A. - Never happened.))

---

In his hand he played with his side arm, it was unloaded of course, the clip lay beside him as he practiced spinning it around on his finger, quick drawing and preparing it to fire, and then finally cleaned it again, entered the clip and put it in his holster. Bored he got up for a quick jog around the ship and was suddenly flown from the entrance of the right wing to the door that lead into the cargo bay. A large detonation was audible as he flew through the air. When he stood the bulk head opened up for him and he could feel air rush past him from a small micro fisher that caused and air leak. The doors quickly slammed shut, the admiral must have closed and restricted all the bulkheads, and now he was stuck in a wing with missiles all around him.

"Those bloody things better not find a reason to go off." He looked out a port hole and no longer saw the station, fearing a boarding may happen he unsnapped the holster and cocked the weapon, keeping it in his hand while he walked over to the teleporter. Sparks flew out of the back of it ever few seconds, though it still looked to be intact. "No way am I risking my ass in that thing." He picked up some debris and tossed it inside, from this side it appeared to have been sent over safely. "Hmm were is that panel. Ah here we go." Taking out his throwing knife, that was illegal to own aboard a ship, seeing as he was barely able to bring aboard his side arm, he pushed it into the metal sheeting to the left of the transporter, and broke off about 1 square 8' piece of metal. "Geordi I'll fix it for you later." quickly cutting three data covering wires he made the transporter a deathtrap, anybody coming through wouldn't get stuck within the buffer, some of them would be re integrated and the rest would be turned into sparks shooting out of the cables. He then cut two main power lines, causing a yellow light above the transporter to shift to red. Yellow meant it was dangerous at best to travel with, red meant not enough power to transport. The only people who would have the need to hook a portable power pack up to it was enemies and a repair engineer, but in combat, its more likely they would be loading missiles. "That... should restrict enemy movement and give a fall back point..."

Turning around he laid back beside the open panel and relaxed, he then noticed the red sign that read "Battle Stations." on it. "Ah crap, I just took out my only other way to get there..." He walked over to the intercom and sent a message. "Calling anybody? Whats going on out there?" Only an ominous silence and static returned to him. The intercom was gone, and for all he new the wing could have been completely detached from the rest of the ship. He laid back against the wall when he heard sparks fly out of the teleporter data panel. "Please tell me that wasn't an enemy, nor one of our men."

Life Aboard a Battlecruiser. Empty
PostSubject: Re: Life Aboard a Battlecruiser.   Life Aboard a Battlecruiser. EmptySun Aug 26, 2012 1:35 pm

-he finally became conscious after a few moments. The engineering section looked heavily wrecked from here, and the room was very dark. Only emergency lighting and the red glow from the "Battle stations" sign was lit in here. Geordi got to his feet, and looked around. His limbs were all intact with only a few bruises. When he got up from where he landed, he realized how lucky he was, and a metal beam landed a few inches away from his right arm. Had his arm fallen to the side when he crashed, he might not have an arm right now-

-As luck would have it, the core control system panels were only lightly damaged once he inspected them. Panels for secondary sytems bore the brunt of the damage. Seeing as how the engineering sections had no windows for obvious security reasons, he had no idea what was going on, only that the ship was no longer violently shaking-

Cat, respond. What happened? he said, rubbing his forehead due to a minor headache. Cat, this is Geordi. Respond. No response. She must've been knocked out by whatever hit them. He went over to the main breaker panel, and input the correct security codes to restore power, but the panel gave an error. He activated a 3D display to show the error, and a computerized male voice spoke, somewhat damaged.

The Emergency Bulkheads were put in place when the ship first started sustaining damage, The sev....ity of the da.... caused the bul....ds to .... Power ....not be restored f... this ....el due to core elec....al sys.... taking ....vy sust..... mage. The voice became more and more error filled until it got to the point where he couldn't understand it at all.

"Ok... so I can't restore ships power from here. The bulkheads mean I'm not getting out of here easily. Life support seems to still be online, so there's that at least. I have to get to the main bridge if I want to get this bucket moving. I don't know if the rest of the crew is alive, but with the bulkheads in place, I can't go and look for them. My main priority is getting power restored and the bulkheads removed." He thought sitting in a chair that hadn't been damaged.

He looked towards a far wall and remembered there was an emergency exit that had been built into the ship for just such an occasion. He headed towards it, tripping over a little clutter, and getting up slowly, wiping his brow. This had "Long day" written all over it. Feeling the wall for the first ladder rung, he eventually started climbing up the ladder and into the access tunnels. He knew he had to rely on memory of ship schemata to find the correct route to the bridge. He also prayed that the emergency access tunnels hadn't been damaged or cut off. "Go be a Battlecruiser engineer" they said. "It'll be stress-free." they said. I left the culinary institute for this?

PostSubject: Re: Life Aboard a Battlecruiser.   Life Aboard a Battlecruiser. EmptyMon Oct 29, 2012 1:06 am

Looking through a very small spy hole into the middle of the ship, the hallway to the fighter bays seemed to be together, and the access tunnels weren't badly damaged, at this point at least. Searching around in the dull red light Kade finally found the ladder rungs into the access tunnels himself. "Well at least I know."

He scavenged around for anything that may be useful later on. Finding nothing he found his way back to the ladder and crawled up. Knowing nothing about the tunnels he continuously found himself at dead ends and back to the ladder. He heard at least one other person crawling around in the tunnels and headed for it, gun in front and knife in hand.

"Please, move into the path of my bullet." He said, well recognizing Geordi face.

"What is going on around here? Oh and by the way, I'll fix your teleporter system later... Don't ask."

He holstered his weapons while waiting for a response.

After waiting for a few moments for the signs to fully enact, he would slightly limp his way over to the main battle screen, poking on it a few times, he would grumble as the power was still offline. God damn whats taking the power so long... He would shake his head and shuffle over to another button on a control panel, pressing it, the floor would open up and out would come out a undetatchable exercise bike, honestly this would seem useless unless you were an exercise fenatic. But in this situation, it might just get them the hell out of this cross fire.

He would mount the bike quickly and start to peddle at his hardest, because their lives somewhat did depend on it, but he would quickly be out of breath and the ship only started moving a couple inches per hour. Grumbling to him self, he would sigh and shake his head, theres simply no way he can maneuver this entire bucket of bolts by pedeling alone.

He would get off of the bike and check the ammunition and resources on the cruiser. Thats good, everything still seems to be in tact, he would let out a sigh of relief before checking the weapons cargo, which was empty. "God damnit... The one time we're not armed..." He would sigh and sit back into the commanders chair, swiveling around in order to find some sort of advantage point he could use.

-he crawled along the access tunnels, and couldn't help but hear a gun being prepared. That seemed odd. These access tunnels were only meant to go from engineering to the Main Bridge as emergency access. Cautiously, he threw a piece of debris, and heard a voice, a voice that sounded familiar. He peaked around the corner to see Kade and a gun barrel pointing straight at him. and then holstering his weapons as soon as he saw it was Geordi-

"What is going on around here? Oh and by the way, I'll fix your teleporter system later... Don't ask."

-Geordi crawled forward, eventually getting to an opening where he could at least sit up-

Don't worry about it, ensign... I can fix it myself. Do you have any idea what is going on? The engineering section is currently in ruins, and I need to get to the main bridge. -as he spoke, he dusted off his clothes and looked around, inspecting the damage to this section. It would be all the more repairs he'd have to do, but he didn't mind it, as he highly enjoyed repairing and improving the Battlecruiser-

Kade followed him through the tunnels and jumped out in the main section. "Check if the admiral is alive. I think I may take my fighter for a spin, or at least see who's alive in this section!"

He began to move past collapsed parts of the ship and noticed that the mining vessel, and the fighter were both out of commission, as in the doors were heavily damaged and hydraulics locked in place. "Well that's not cool. I wonder if I shoot them, maybe it would work like in the movies... better not."

He began to search for survivors as he heard movement behind a large clump of debris. I drew my weapon fast...

-he watched Kade do his own thing as he made mental note of the repairs that he (Geordi) needed to make. He knew the ensign had his own matters to deal with, and Geordi needed to get to the main bridge. It was mostly a dark tunnel, with only dim, light red emergency lights showing tunnel intersections-

Let me see... At this intersection...I go straight. He began crawling once again, and as he reached the end, and a drop with ladder rungs along a wall, he heard the Admiral's voice. Even if he wasn't in the main bridge, which he should have been, but he wasn't 100% sure, then at least he had reached the Admiral, and could hopefully get the ship moving. He had an emergency propulsion system in case of heavy damage, but it could only be accessed from here. Once they were safe, he could rig up some Repair Custodians to begin work on the ship. He carefully turned himself around and climbed down the ladder rungs.

Admiral? Are you in here? Tell me I'm not just hearing some pre-recorded message.

-Even though it was probubly fairly far away, he could hear the slight clatter of feet on metal, swivaling around in his chair, he would smile a bit and continue to try and get things working on consoles- "Well im glad the person who actually knows the ship better than I do is still alive, I have a feeling I couldn't get this bucket of bolts running alone. Status on the most of the ship?"

-He would swival around once again and clink a couple more buttons, trying to intercom one last time before shaking his head- "I swear it... Whenever we try to take a break something ALWAYS has to ruin it" -He would then stand up and manually open the bulkheads to the bridge-

He turned the corner with his gun raised.

"Hold it!" He would yell loudly.

It kept moving, disobeying his only command, but the laws of physics often did that to a man. The chunks of sheared metal fell into a pile, making walking sounds as it fell down the side of the pile below.

"Well... that was wonderful." He holstered his weapon and went up the the door leading up to the bridge. Jammed shut, if the admiral and Geodi were clearing their side of the door, he might as well clear his. He Knocked a few time on a part of the door, hoping to tell them to remove their parts if they could, and began to move piece after hunk after large heavy chunks of debris out of the way. He now understood why it took teams more then a few hours to clean up a damaged ship.

He would click a few more controls and nobs on a control circuit to the bulkhead, and the heavy bridge doors would open up with a most terrible racket. He would look out as the doors would just start to open and he would grin.

"Well well, looks like the ensign made it as well, once you've got a path you can come in, we ain't got much of a mess here, but hell let me tell you it isn't pretty."

He would turn on his heels and return back to his command chair, checking the star map and then opening up some of the viewing windows for them to see. The two large stations going at it, cruisers flying about and even fighters deploying everywhere.

"Geordi, tell me you can at least get this blasted thing moving? I've already lost two cruisers to the enemy, I don't feel like loosing another one."
He would grumble to himself a bit and try to bring up statistics

-he sits down at a console in the main bridge which allows access to the Engineering section's commands and files, using his authorization code to get to what he needs. He looks a bit distraught, then a bit more calm, then distraught, then relieved, and then back to calm-

"Admiral, according to a damage report, we've taken a serious hit to...well...just about every system. I managed to activate the the self-repair nanobots, but whatever it was that brought us into that caused about 40% of them to be destroyed. Right now, 20% are working on maintaining life support, while 30% are working on repairing the hull. The remaining 10% are using what materials we can access at the moment to get our engines up and running. At this rate, Admiral, even if I had my toolbox, we're going to be like a mauled animal for at least 2-3 more hours.

-he brings up a few 3D displays, looking over them carefully. They are a bit glitchy- "The Defense Systems were the least damaged, but several crucial energy conduits suffered crippling damage. If I know you, Admiral, you would prefer we have weapons online before engines, but I implore you to think for a moment." -he is seen quickly swapping projections for different ones, bringing up large charts and bar graphs and then swapping those out too. After a few moments, he is surrounded by projections.

"Since our defensive capabilities have been so crippled, including our shields, we would probably be overwhelmed in no time, given that it will still be awhile before we can make our most basic projectile weapon. At this point, saving our skins should be a top priority, sir."

-outside of the main bridge, there are slight sounds of metal scraping and hissing sounds. These are the sounds of the nanobots, repairing vital sections of the hull-

-He would begin tearing metal off the pile and throwing it aside, one piece after the other. After he had managed to dig himself a whole large enough to walk through he entered the bridge.-
"So what's our situation on the outside and what can I do to help? By the way, your teleporter is busted, I had a moment of worst case scenario going through my head and well... I'll fix it later."

-He would salute the captain- "Ready for order sir." with a small smile on his face.

"Greetings, Ensign." he greets the Kade with a quick greeting, using the entirety of his arms to begin repairs on the ship, opening up several holographic keyboards with a small metallic box near his right hand on the floor, which he often described as his toolbox.

The hull lets out loud metallic creaks and groans as the hull continues its repairs. Lighting in the room becomes more stable, and the control consoles appear to be improving in condition. The ship is still far from being the threat it was, but at least it was starting to look better.

-He would put a hand to his chin and implore his options for a moment, then he would swival the chair to face Geodi-

"Your right, bring down our main lights and keep secondary lights up, get the engine and shield generators up, if we're not fighting we should at least stay hidden."

-He would then swival to face the ensign-

"Pilot, what was the status of the ship when you went through it, im sure you probably know a bit more on the damages at the moment than what Geodi spotted. That, and considering power is still coming up, your practically our onboard defence until the shields and turrents come up."

-He would turn to the large window and try to bring up sensors to the window, seeing small blips on the large window as if it was a battle map-

"Lets see... Fighters, cruisers, frigates... They really caught us off guard..."

"I agree. Also, Teleporters are down, metal has been torn from the interior walls and ceiling, cables are down all over the place sparking, and both the hangers are completely cut off. That being said, the only way to enter the ship is with a boarding teleporter. The medical bay is a little difficult to get to, but I think its working, to some degree. The neck is heavily damaged but is stable, as for the armory and our other systems, I didn't check.

-He would glance at the battle screen the Admiral was looking at.-

"So were out numbered here aren't we?"

"Indeed we are, ensign. At least for right now.", he says with a tone of confidence. In his chair, a small panel flips over, revealing a red button which soon flashes to green. He presses the button, and a series of small explosions engulf a good number of the ships there, destroying all but one cruiser and two fighters, at least within visible range. The overall shockwave reaches the Metal Shear, but only lightly rocks it, causing no further damage.

"I had a feeling we might be tracked on a mission out to deep space, so I decided to have a backup plan just in case. In case of attack, the battlecruiser sends out a barrage of cloaked mines in nearly all directions that stick to whatever they hit and eventually slow to a stop. Luckily for us, our friends there hadn't traveled far, so they took the brunt of the minefield attack. Unfortunately, they might become a bit more aware that we're still alive. I have a cloak up for now, so we should be alright."

He returns to repairing the ship. The sounds of saw's cutting through metal and loud metallic groaning echo into the main bridge. The ship's condition continues to improve, but as with before, has not reached its full potential.

"Admiral, we're reading 93% power restored to the shields and life support, 43% completed repairs to Engineering, 57% completed repairs to the medical bay, 85% completed repairs to the fighter bay, and 64% repairs to the private quarters. We're also reading 10% overall power restored, but steadily climbing."

-The scruff bearded man would blink and lean back a bit, seeming more awestruck than anything-
"Well... That's convenient..."
-He would glance over to Geordi and then back to the monitor, flipping his screen as to see the repairs and areas of the ship where the hull is damaged and not-
"Engineer, focus some of the repairs from the fighters bay and maybe the private quarters towards repairing the core of the ship, no point having a nice bed if we aren't living to enjoy it"
-He turns to face Kade-
"I need you, to get on the weapons and scanners panels, if these buggers find out we're here, I want to know then, and I want to know the instant before they know"
-He chuckles to himself and turns to the main battle map view-
"Geordi, set us forwards, but just a nudge, then turn off the engines, if we need to avoid being seen at the moment we need to look like the rest of the space junk out here, preferably not near the enemy cruisers..."

Aye Admiral.

-He would go over to the advanced sensor panel and study the scene.-

Either they don't know we're alive, or they don't care... yet. Geordi, do we have power to the turrets? If anybody comes close, I want to give them a well deserved welcoming party.

-He would sit back in a chair and open up several panels giving different statistics on the battle outside, just about evenly matched, a little more in our favor if anything.-

Admiral, we may have a problem...

-On a long distance radar ping, it would show six blips closing fast, with no IFF signal (Identification friend or foe) being transmitted. For these to show up on the scan, they would almost surely be cruisers, but whose?-

"Alright... let me see what I an do..."

-his left hand darts across a huge, as he other hand runs along a series of 3D projections to his right. His eyes darting between the two-

"Admiral, power is being diverted to the Fighter Bay. Two fighters have been repaired as of now, and the Bay itself is reading a 96% overall repair. The private quarters, being less complex, are reading full restoration... I am also diverting a bit of power towards another mine field to be ready. Currently, we have approximately 200 phase mines and counting standing at the ready separating us from the fighters over there... If they survive, they won't have much of a space leg to stand on." -he swivels around in his chair, and more screens open up as he swivels. They show damaged sections undergoing what looks like a damage reversal, with moderately loud creaking showing the metal flattening and resealing stronger than before. Such is the way the repairs are done on the ship. He looks over several screens showing repairs and what appears to be several boxes with four narrow barrels extending from them-

"Ensign, the emergency turrets are current active, and trained on any possible entrance. They'd have to blow a hole in our hull to avoid the emergency turrets. The normal turrets are reading a 70% repair and their energy source for ammunition is reading 85% capacity and steadily climbing. If you and the Admiral would prefer, the emergency arms closet is no longer blocked off. If you'd like to grab some body armor and a Proton Rifle, now would be the time. As for me, I need to stay here to make sure the repairs don't go haywire." -he swivels around in the chair, muttering to himself about the status of the repairs and minefield-

"Sir, we don't have Photon rifles on the ship, we have plasma rifles though. As for getting one..." *He would pull out his pistol, spin it and place it back inside its holster to respond to Geordie's comment.*

"For the body armor, that sounds like a nice idea, what about you Admiral?"

*He would get up and begin to head for the armory and pick up some body armor a batter cell for his pistol*

*A few moments later he would have two bolt mini guns on his thighs, two pulse rifles in cross-draw holsters on his ribs, a tx2 sniper rifle, fully loaded with a scope, bi-pod, and many other attachments, including a silencer, and his trusty Hydride pistol on his hip. He would also have energy cells for his weapons and some extra body armor or his shoulders.*

"Hehe, I may have brought out my marine side a bit.. Also, this bag is for you."

*He would drop a duffel bag with two of each possible gun, as well as medical kits, medical backpacks, some battery cells and some repair matrix's and one set of body armor.*

"You will not believe how heavy that thing was, thank whoever created that sack for putting wheels on it."
