WoFL Battle/Training Grounds Empty
PostSubject: WoFL Battle/Training Grounds   WoFL Battle/Training Grounds EmptyWed Dec 08, 2010 2:59 pm

Hello clan members. Recently, I thought that having a RP in the chat channel might be disruptive to those who are doing other things and hear the noise of the chat channel. As such, I decided to make this RP chat channel so that rps can go on uninterrupted, and not disrupt those who are not role playing. Smile

Usual description of the area: Light and dark-brown rocks and cliff-faces as far as the eye can see with lush green grass covering pretty much all flat surfaces. There are some trees in the area, but not many. The ones that are there provide excellent shade though.

In this are there are 5 tall, gray, rectangular shaped columns in the formation of a 5-pointed star called training targets. Each of these pillars have a large red ring on one face near the top of them facing "inwards". These targets are unique because they reflect the force of anything that hits it back in the direction of its source, sometimes at double the power and speed of its original velocity. If one were to throw a punch or kick, the recoil would be reflected back at them and the person would be shot backwards at up to double the force of their strike. One could quickly hit the a target in rapid succession so long as they can withstand the recoil. As soon as they can't anymore, all the recoil that was built up is shot back all at once at them. These mysterious pillars have so far proved indestructible but are great for training strength and speed. It is rumored that if you're fast enough, you can avoid the recoil and keep striking, but so far this theory has thought to be false.

Weather: Mostly Sunny
Temperature: 77 degrees Fahrenheit
Wind: Southwest at 10 mph
Humidity: Low (60%)

WoFL Battle/Training Grounds Empty

I wanted to make sure that everyone knows the rules of the RP Battlegrounds.

1. No godmodding. This basically means you can't make yourself invincible to everything, have a sword so powerful it blows up the earth, make your character sound so powerful, a sneeze would blow away half the galaxy, etc. etc.

2. No dodging/blocking (whether by tech, magic, ability or miscellaneous) every move. This should be self explanatory, but for those who would like a little explanation anyway: This basically means you're not allowed to just avoid damage from every attack that comes your way every single time. At some point, you have to get hit. Besides, to be honest, dodging everything is not only a type of godmodding, it makes you look like bad.

3. OHKO (One Hit Knock Out) moves of any kind are prohibited. It does not matter how long you say it takes to cast or likelihood of it hitting. Any move that would always cause a one hit death is not allowed for any reason.

4. No eternal battles. This means that you don't keep battling forever constantly inventing new abilities or whatever. By the time the battle ends, either someone has to lose, or the battle has to be called a draw.

5. Allow your opponents at least 30 seconds to reply to your last attack on them. This rule is in place so that faster typers can not just bombard a player with attacks and have their opponents on the ground before they finish typing a response to something that happend 5 actions ago. This allows slower typers to get a word in edgewise and make the fight fair, but the time to do so is only 30 seconds to keep the fight moving and not make it unfair for the person who has to respond. As a side note, if you have to go afk or have to leave completely, please let all opponents know. Obviously, while you're gone, the timer is stopped, and as long as you're gone, you can't be harmed. Furthermore, you have to let your opponents know when you return by saying that you're back. If you just type out a response without letting them know you're back first, that action is negated, and the attackers get one free strike. Also, you're not allowed to spam saying afk and back to get constant time to think up a response.

6. The Pillars are invulnerable. They CAN NOT be destroyed. This rule is in place because I see the Pillars as something that makes the battlegrounds unique, gives something to train on, and can be used to make battles more interesting. I also get tired of people claiming they can destroy them.
